The 9,721± acre Basin Ranch is the only available ranch of this size minutes outside of Billings, Montana. The family-owned property is a well-maintained and successful cattle operation with grazing available on 8,321± acres plus 1,400± acres of tillable and improved pasture. There is also an option to buy an additional 8,037± acres adjacent to the ranch.

The property has wells, springs and extensive habitats and leks for sage grouse; however, no conservation easements are currently in place. The property is one of the largest ranches available near Bozeman, and its located at the epicenter of some of Montana’s finest cultural and recreational experiences, near the confluence of the Madison, Gallatin and Jefferson Rivers.

The Milligan Canyon Ranch is currently run as a winter headquarters for a larger cattle ranch operation and could be a year-round cow-calf operation carrying 450 pair with buying hay.
