Trent Johnson is a lifelong rancher, entrepreneur, and real estate professional who brings hands-on experience and financial expertise to his role at Western Ranch Brokers. Having lived and worked on his family’s ranch for his entire life, Trent understands the realities of ranching for profit and the value of land as both a legacy and an investment.
He holds a master’s degree in Financial Advising from Montana State University, where he also competed on the college rodeo team. In addition to real estate, Trent has built and operated multiple businesses across both agricultural and non-ag sectors, equipping him with a wide-ranging perspective on operations, investment, and long-term asset growth.
Trent’s areas of expertise include ranch brokerage, valuation insight, and strategic advisory services. His background in agricultural appraisal gives him a precise read on market value, operational potential, and risk—bringing clarity and confidence to negotiations, investment decisions, and long-term planning. His brokerage focus spans working ranches, recreational properties, and investment-grade land across Montana and Wyoming, where he’s known for his honesty, precision, and results-driven service.
Trent and his wife are raising their daughter on the same ranch that shaped his own values. Together, they share a passion for the western way of life and are committed to preserving its legacy for the next generation. In his free time, Trent enjoys hunting, fishing, and rodeoing—living the lifestyle he proudly represent.
